Just a few reminders:
1)Register. We are now 26 days away from day 1 of The Big Adventure Summer Camp at Worth Ranch! At this point there are 14 scouts and 4 adults registered. I think that is a pretty light number on the scouts. I would like to see a group of 20-25 scouts for summer camp. If you need help registering please let me know. The troop has funds that can be used for a Campership. Parents please do not let cost stand in the way of sending your scout to summer camp. Email me directly to discuss.
2)Physical. Make sure you have scheduled your sons doctor appointment in order to complete the annual physical and BSA Health Forms. EVERY scout and adult participating in camp must have a BSA physical on file with us at least a week prior to arrival at camp. The link below will take you to the PDF of the form.

This form requires a signature of a medical professional, normally a doctor, to be accepted by the BSA. All 3 parts, "A", "B", and "C", must be completed. Under part B, please ensure that the immunization section is completed on the form - they will not accept "see attached" with the immunization record turned in.
Many physicians will allow you to turn in the form if you have had a recent visit they can use to complete the form. Some may require a week or more to complete it and return it to you. If you cannot get in to see your physician, the local minor emergency centers will generally complete the physical for $25. Regardless of the method, the form must be the BSA form. UIL physical forms are not accepted.
Once you have the form, you can turn it in at any scout meeting in the office.
3)Merit Badge Classes. Last week the scouts discussed the various merit badge classes offered at summer camp. Tonight they sign up and fill out their schedules for the week. Dont miss out!
See you tonight. Mr. Harveson
