The Scouts of Troop 17 have agreed to help out with the Tunnel to Towers 5k Run and Walk on Saturday October 12th. This event is put on by the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation and benefits injured service members, families of fallen first responders and families of fallen servicemen and women. Our specific duties have not been detailed yet but I expect that we will be helping out at a water station, cleaning up after the race, serving as marshals along the route or some combination of these tasks and more. We have been asked to be present from 8am to 1pm but if you cannot make the entire time window please plan to join for as much time as you can. We will be wearing our full Class A uniforms for this event. Parents and siblings are welcome to join as well.
