To those that missed the campout, sorry you missed a good one...The lake was actually at Wizard Wells when we got there, we used the right gate, no boats sank, the OF had a good skit (thanks to Mr. Peterson), and we were back home and unloaded by 2pm! Be sure to check out the recap of the trip on the website blogs. Coming up next...Beavers Bend! Due to the length of the drive time and reservations we need to make, we will need to know how many will be attending this campout by 9/21/10. The campout is October 8th-11th. For FWISD students, there is no school on Monday so we anticipate a later than normal arrival on Sunday. The location is 4+ hours away. Scouts should let their patrol leaders know. Adults can signup online or in the scout lodge. A dedicated crew of adults and scouts worked our first TCU game on Saturday. The stand was spacious compared to the previous year. Next up for TCU is Baylor this Saturday at 3:30pm. We should have a lot of visitors for that game. Please sign up online or contact Mr. Taylor directly to work the game. Mr. Edmonds will be leading the Personal Management Merit Badge class starting this Tuesday...(see below) Special thanks this week to Mr. Peterson, Mr. Payne, Mr. Steve Cox, and Mr. Edmonds for being the bus driving team that got us to the campout this weekend. Mr. Turner Scoutmaster, Troop 17 For scouts whos brains have mostly oozed out (age 14 & 1st Class), and need a little personal management in their life, well youre in luck, because.... PMMB will begin Tuesday, September 14th at the Harry Male Scout Lodge. We will meet at 6:45 pm. Now, prior to our meeting, please purchase the pamphlet and read over the requirements. Bring your pamphlet, a pen, a thirst for knowledge and a paper folder ( the kind with pockets and three brads for notebook paper) with you. Be on time and bring the tools of the trade. ( this is very important, because you DO want to make a good first impression!) See you there.
