T17-Virtual Meeting Tonight

Attention T17 Scouts, Tonight we will hold a virtual troop meeting at our normal 7:30 meeting time. The meeting will be held over a Zoom conference (information below). I visited with your SPL yesterday and we thought it would be good to get together to check in, have the patrols meet, and get back together for a question and answer session with me and some of the other OF to close out our meeting. This is new, uncharted ground for T17, but not new ground for most of you. Many of us have been meeting over video conferences for years and many more of you have been introduced to virtual conferencing recently. From Xbox chat to Zoom conferences, you have been communicating from your homes with your friends, relatives, and teachers. We are going to add Scouts to that list. So tonight, between 7pm and 7:30, put on your Scout shirt (Mr. Rekieta will be taking virtual attendance), sit down in front of your computer, laptop, or phone, check out your background video (no one needs to see the nest you have built in your room), and connect to Zoom (download the app if you do not have it already). Be sure you can mute and unmute yourself and that you look good in the video. The SPL will kick off our call promptly at 7:30 tonight. Parents, please be sure your scout gets this message.
