First off, thanks for the quick replies yesterday. We secured both the Snow Sports and Swimming MB classes for FRI/SAT like we wanted. I spoke to the Longhorn Council (LHC) this morning and got some clarifications on how the program works, and some help navigating the registration system. Obviously this is not how we normally register so things are a bit awkward (think square peg in a round hole). Heres the update Scouts can attend TWO merit badges over the weekend for the same fee. Were going to open up the second timeslot, but that pushes our pickup time Sunday to noon (AM classes run 8a-noon Saturday and Sunday). Weve got snow sports and swimming at the same time (PM classes Fri/Sat 2p-6p). If you are in swimming, you cant take snow sports. We have two classes partially filled, rifle and shotgun. My thought is to put those in the AM classes spot (you would only be able to take one or the other). There are additional merit badges offeredbut remember we must have 6 people minimum to register for the class. Archery Canoeing Kayaking Heres the ask We need two more people in rifle and shotgun to make the minimum for the class. If we dont make the minimum, we may move everyone into one or the other. Well talk about that if we get there. If you are interested in archery, canoeing, or kayaking, please email the scoutmaster address and tell me if you want to take it in the AM or the PM sessions. Remember that we need 6 people minimum to get in the class in the same session (am/pm) so get with your friends and decide as a group if you want to take this and when. If you are in a PM class (swimming or snow sports) and want to add an AM class (rifle or shotgun), please email the scoutmaster address. Thanks, Mr. Turner
