Scouts and Scouters, Because of the recent rains, the Brazos River Authority has temporarily closed the stretch of river that we intend to canoe. It is possible that the stretch will reopen on Saturday or Sunday which would allow us to canoe. The Staff has created a contingency plan to do a 5 mile hike on Saturday up to Kyle Mountain where we will have a trail lunch. This is a requirement for 2nd Class rank. Please bring hiking boots and a small backpack or daypack to haul some light gear. Also, bring those green cards for advancement. See you tomorrow at the Scout lodge at 5:30.
