Scouts and Scouters, <br><br> With the overbooking of Schlitterbahn water park, we have a rare opportunity for a relaxing, smooth float on inner tubes on the Medina River near San Antonio. This clear, spring fed, cypress lined Hill Country River will serve as the focal point of our campout next weekend. We will camp at McGimsey Scout Park in San Antonio and hit the river on Saturday. The poop sheet and permission slip will be posted soon. Please review all of the items on the list in detail. We will not bring the bus on this trip, so we need some additional adult participation, so moms and dads, dont be shy, come join us on this river adventure. You wont regret it. <br><br> In other news, Troop 17 will celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the founding of the troop on August 15th. To kick off the planning stage of the event, we will meet on Tuesday at 7pm to discuss logistics and event plans. Please join us. This is an exciting time to be part of Troop 17. <br><br> Mr. Virden
