We have two action items in advance of Summer Camp... The first is payment for camp. We need to collect $275 for each Scout on Tuesday. This fee includes payment to Longhorn Council (which the Troop has to send this week) and for the camp shirt for 2021. More information on shirts in the next few days. One important note on paying for camp - if you have a financial need, please contact Mr. Virden. We have scholarships or payment plans he can put together for you. We also have the option to put the payment on a credit card for a small fee. **We do not want the ability to pay to stop any Scout from going to camp** Secondly, please work to get the BSA medical form filled out by your physician. We need to have these in hand a week before camp starts. This applies to all participants attending camp - Scouts and adults. Where do I get the BSA physical paperwork? The link below will take you to the PDF of the form. https://filestore.scouting.org/filestore/HealthSafety/pdf/680-001_ABC.pdf This form requires a signature of a medical professional, normally a doctor, to be accepted by the BSA. All 3 parts, "A", "B", and "C", must be completed. Under part B, please ensure that the immunization section is completed on the form - they will not accept "see attached" with the immunization record turned in. Many physicians will allow you to turn in the form if you have had a recent visit they can use to complete the form. Some may require a week or more to complete it and return it to you. If you cannot get in to see your physician, the local minor emergency centers will generally complete the physical for $20. Regardless of the method, the form must be the BSA form. UIL physical forms are not accepted. Once you have the form, you can turn it in at any scout meeting in the office. More information coming soon on everything Summer Camp! Thanks! Mr. Turner
