There is a lot of information below please be sure to read each section +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Summer camp payments before we talk about payments, please remember that if you need assistance in paying for summer camp, we have partial scholarships available. Please see Mr. Virden. We do not want cost standing in the way of a Scout attending summer camp. The cost of camp is $275 and is due now. Please make checks payable to Troop 17 and drop them off at the meeting tonight. If you would like to pay by credit card or PayPal, please let us know. Depending on the merit badges your son registered for, there may be additional fees for supplies, ammunition, or kits. See the list below Shotgun - $35 (bring extra $ for more rounds for open shooting) Rifle - $25 (bring extra $ for more rounds for open shooting) Wood carving - $20 Indian Lore - $20* Leatherwork - $20 Climbing - $20 Motorboating - $10 Archery - $10 (bring extra $ for more targets) *Multiple Scouts have signed up for Indian Lore this year. This has turned into a "tradition" at Troop 17 even if the Scout has the merit badge already (in a few cases). This "tradition" will cost you $20 extra. These fees will be added to your accounts *after* the meeting tonight, once their merit badge schedules are set. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Merit Badge schedules Mr. Lyles has all of the schedules printed out and will hand them out tonight. Scouts, please review them and be sure you are in the correct classes. We still have time to change most classes (some are already full). +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Camp shirts we wear the following shirts each day at camp. If you do not have one of these, please order them tonight. Mr. Rekieta will be taking orders. Sunday T17 grey shirt (available for $6 in the scout office) Monday T17 orange 2018 camp shirt order replacements for $5 Tuesday T17 dark blue 2019 camp shirt order replacements for $5 Wednesday T17 green 2020 camp shirt order replacements for $5 Thursday Plain white t-shirt (bring one or order one for $5) which we will paint the Super Frog logo on it. Friday T17 new 2021 camp shirt (included in the camp cost already) - be sure we have your correct shirt size recorded Saturday T17 grey shirt +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ We wear our scout shorts and socks every day, all day, so please be sure you have extra socks and maybe some extra shorts. Socks are available for sale for $11 in the scout office and we have a collection of used uniform shirts and shorts that you are welcome to look through. We wear our full uniform for dinner every day also so please be sure you have your full uniform available for camp. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Medical forms we cannot stress enough that we must have a fully filled out BSA medical form, including the signed physician statement, for every person attending camp. No other medical forms are accepted. The form is available at https://filestore.scouting.org/filestore/HealthSafety/pdf/680-001_ABC.pdf Please also ensure that the immunization section is filled out for every line. Attaching the shot record is handy, but the information must still be listed in the form. Please send the form to your doctor now (some offices want at least a week to return it), setup an appointment to get the physical, or stop by the local minor emergency center with your form to get it completed and signed as soon as possible. Bring the form to the troop meeting to turn in. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ We are 26 days from arriving at camp! Please do what you can to get these payments and forms turned in now.
