Scouts and Scouters, <br><br> The weather and conditions for the campout this weekend look outstanding. With a new moon and clear skies, the stars at Enchanted Rock should be spectacular. <br><br> There seems to be some misinformation circulating about the campout. This is not just a backpacking campout. This is a bouldering campout. There are numerous boulder fields and caves to explore. Some of you may have been told by other scouts that backpacking is lame. Let me assure you that you will not want to miss this trip. Enchanted Rock is a legendary scenic natural area drawing visitors for generations and Troop 17 has the rare opportunity to camp in the Natural area. <br><br> On Sunday well head to Fredericksburg for lunch and a tour of the World War II Museum <br><br> I encourage all of you to attend this trip. <br><br> Mr. Virden
