Time is running out to complete the special merit badges only offered until the end of the year. Carpentry - contact Mr. Bogle for information. Signaling - From Mr. Mallison - As I announced to the scouts, Tuesday, I will be at the Scout Lodge Sunday afternoon (December 26) if any scouts wish to come by and finish the signaling merit badge. It has to be done before New Years and I will be out of town the week after Christmas. All the scouts who took the class completed the first requirement by making a code buzzer. Now all they need to do is prove to me that they can send and receive a short message in morse code and semaphore. Three scouts have completed the requirements and I hope we can finish up for some more. I will be there at 2pm and stay until 3pm or so. If any scout needs to stretch that time one way or the other, please contact me. It only takes a few minutes to complete the requirements. Its fun and easy and just takes a little bit of practice to master the skills enough to communicate. Merry Christmas to all. Take advantage of the time off to work on advancement and merit badges!
