First off, thank you to Mr. Glen Barrett, Tony Barrett, Matthew Lee, Stephen DeVijlder, Aaron Turner and Adam Turner for helping with Pack 499 and Pack 350s Pinewood Derby. They genuinely appreciated the help. There will be another Derby coming up in March for another pack. This is also a good way to recruit future Troop 17 members! Greenbar campout is next weekend. Please bring your $35 and permission slip tonight. If you cannot make it tonight, please ensure that your Patrol leader knows you are planning on attending. He needs to know TODAY. January 30th is Scout Sunday at St. Stephen. Please plan on attending. We will also be holding a bake sale fundraiser. Get out your best recipes and bake up something to sell. The Architecture Merit badge class will be going to visit a construction site on Sunday the 23rd right after the Scouts return from the Greenbar campout - at approximately 2pm. Meet at the Scout lodge and then we will caravan over to the site in the Tanglewood area. Please invite your parents, grandparents, and friends to our Troop 17 Court of Honor. It will be held at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, January 25th in the main sanctuary of St. Stephens Church. Scouts should wear their merit badge sash in addition to their full Class A uniform. There will also be a Friends of Scouting presentation at the meeting.
