Scouts and Scouters,
We will meet tonight at 7:30 at the Scout lodge. If you are working on Space exploration merit badge, and if you have built your rocket, then please bring it to the meeting for Mr. Rekieta to inspect. All scouts are welcome to bring a rocket to the campout as well, even if you are not taking the merit badge. Mr. Rekieta will inspect those as well. The more rockets the better.
Kanderstag fundraising news. We are very excited about our progress to date, more than $7,500 raised, good response from our survey and a great plan for fundraising in 2022. With that in mind, please review the following so you can be up to speed on what we are doing.
Scout Saver Card Fundraiser starts now
This is an individual fundraiser which means your scout can raise the funds and you can kick back and provide some oversight. Scout saver cards are super simple - they are a paper trifold with coupons for local businesses AND a digital code and app that unlocks even more coupons. Great option for friends and family that want the simplicity of paper coupons and for those that want to dig deeper and go the digital route.
Your scout will sign up for their first ten at tonights meeting. Allyson Gourley will be there to hand them out and sign up your scouts. After they sell the first ten, we will get them more. Here are more details:
* each card is to be sold for $10.00 with $5.00 of that going back to the fundraising account. * storefront sales to begin 2/15/2022 (Albertsons and Tom Thumb locations) sign-up sheet to follow. This is a great option for those scouts that want to sell a lot at once but is not required. * these cards are good nationwide and are apps to be downloaded to take with you everywhere you go! (Only one card per device) * there are also tear-off coupons as well.
This is an easy sell.... go and hit the neighborhood and family. If you need more cards, no problem. Just send me an email and Ill get them to you!
Instructions are very simple and listed on the inside of the pamphlet.
*TOP SELLING SCOUT BY MARCH 1ST WINS $50 GIFT CARD..... whos it going be? Any questions, email allysongourley@gmail.com Or call 817-602-3777
In person meeting
Over the next few weeks, we will schedule an in person kick off to 2022 parents meeting where we will update on this fundraiser and get organized for the other four fundraisers in 2022 - the garage sale, working TCU games, the Reata / Enchiladas Ole dinners, and the on-line popcorn sales. The good news is we already have parents signed up to lead these fundraisers so thank you all who have stepped up to date! If you havent signed up for anything yet - no worries - we will have plenty of options at the meeting. We will also have a garage sale drop off so you can get it all done in one meeting!
