Please join troop 17 at Presbyterian Night Shelter tomorrow morning for a meaningful volunteer event. The event runs from 8am until 1pm and is open to all scouts and parents. The troop will record volunteer hours for advancement with the troop or for school as needed. Both breakfast and lunch will be provided so be sure to stay for the entire event. <br><br> This is a work day and may involve painting so all volunteers will need wear appropriate clothes that can get messy. PPE should be provided but I recommend you bring work gloves and wear sturdy shoes. The event coordinator has assured me that indoor projects are available in case of rain. Dont let wet weather dissuade you from volunteering your time and energy to this worthy cause. <br><br> PLease see the message from Presbyterian Night Shelter copied below.<br><br> Mr. Lunsford <br><br> Volunteers will work to help our most vulnerable homeless Veterans at our various shelters and contribute sweat equity working with their hands, heart and sweat to meet the shelters need. Typical tasks include: painting, deep cleaning, campus beautification, landscaping, and various other projects to improve the campus. <br><br> When and Where: <br> Saturday, October 28 @ 8am <br> 1421 E. Presidio <br> Ft Worth, Tx. 76102 <br> 1 block south of E. Lancaster.
