Time to arm yourselves for the flour war. Please report to the Troop 17 Bunker at 19:30 for the preparation and dispersal of BSA issue flour bags. We will need all able bodied scouts present in person to equip the troop for the upcoming flour war.
In an effort to get everyones affairs in order before deploying to Worth Ranch the Personal Management merit badge class will be meeting a 18:45 this evening with Mr. Virden.
In more peaceful news, I would also like to remind you that Mr. Harveson will be in attendance to pick up poinsettia order forms. Please see his announcement below.
Mr. Lunsford
Scouts and Scouters-
Last week we kicked off our Troop 17 2023 Poinsettia Sale. We are offering 6 Premium, Florist Quality, Multi-Branched Poinsettias with 5-7 Colorful Bracts. Poinsettia colors include Red, Pink or White and we have 4 festive pot colors to choose from. The sale will run through November 28th and the Scouts will deliver the week of December 4th. The Poinsettias are $15 each and the proceeds of the sale will help cover Troop operational expenses as well as offset individual Scouts costs for 2024 Summer Camp and/or 2024 High Adventure Trips. I handed out order forms last week that included all of this information. I will be at the Troop meeting every week to collect orders and money as well as hand out additional order forms. We would like for each Scout to sell 5 to 10 Poinsettias to their family, neighbors, teachers, aunts, uncles, grandparents and family friends. There will be special recognition and prizes for the individual Scout and the Patrol with the highest sales. See you tonight.
