T17 - Dues, Donations, and Dates posted 10/31/11

Its that magical time of the year...yes, you guessed it...we collect dues! All Scouts should bring $35 to the next meeting to pay their dues for the next year. We are trying to collect dues over the next two weeks so we can get rechartered on time in November. Speaking of money...we are also asking for donations for the Palo Pinto Volunteer Fire Department (PPVFD). These volunteers helped protect Worth Ranch from multiple wild fires this past summer. They are attempting to raise funds for a new tanker truck. We will be presenting a check from the Troop (along with others from the Longhorn Council) to the PPVFD on Saturday. Speaking of Saturday...Worth Ranch needs your help... Saturday morning at 7:30 AM you are invited to a complimentary breakfast & lunch in Roesser Hall prepared by Wilder Bogle and Henry Manning (with help from Mr. Edmonds & Mrs. Schmidt). This breakfast kicks off the 1st work day to prepare for the WR 2012 Summer Camp Season. Speaking of Worth Ranch...The Troop Rocketry Campout will be November 11th-13th on the McClure Property at Worth Ranch. You must have your rocket inspected by Mr. Rekieta to be approved for launch. He will be at the Scout Lodge at 6:45pm tomorrow to inspect them and to discuss the Rocketry Merit Badge. Speaking of being early tomorrow...it would be a good idea to be early tomorrow.
