Hello and happy first week of school to many of you. Regretfully, I have been tied up with work for the past several weeks and have not been able to keep up with the email updates. Hopefully I have things settled down for the next few weeks. Just a few schedule reminders before you head out for the long holiday weekend. SATURDAY - for those of you interested in helping manage the TCU concession stand this year, Mr. Taylor has arranged a training session tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 1, at 10 a.m. at the TCU stadium. If you can make it, let him know. MONDAY - Flag Fundraiser day - meet on Sweetbriar Lane in the Tanglewood area at 7am and 7pm to help out! Come in your Class B uniform (Grey shirt). TUESDAY - normal Scout meeting at 7:30 - bring a friend with you! WEDNESDAY - the Troop Committee monthly meeting - 7:30 at the Scout Lodge. All parents are welcome to attend the business meeting of the Troop. SATURDAY - our first TCU fundraiser for this year! Welcome to the Big 12 with a remodeled stadium including a larger concession stand. Here are just some of the details...West side (home) upper deck, only four stands servicing approximately 8,400 customers, all fountain drinks, four refrigerators - allowing us have 800 bottles of water chilled at game time, an ice machine in our stand, and real cash registers! The best news is that we had our full complement of volunteers by last Tuesday-almost 10 days prior to the first game. Yea! FRIDAY, September 14th - we head to New Braunfels for a spectacular weekend at the Schlitterbahn Water Park and a side trip to Enchanted Rock.
