Lots of things going on this week in Scouting TONIGHT - at Arborlawn UMC there will be an OA Chapter Meeting. This meeting will be OPEN to EVERYONE. They are having a guest speaker, Pat Rabun, to talk about lightweight backpacking. From 7pm to 8pm he will discuss shaving multiple pounds off a Philmont pack. He has also offered to stay late to answer questions and evaluate gear. Arborlawn is at 5001 Briarhaven Road. The meeting is with the rest of the monthly district meetings in the "SAM" building just east of the church (this is the old Scout office). Ask anyone when you walk in the side door from the parking lot. TUESDAY Staff needs to be early to complete the cleanup and setup of the Scout Lodge for our normal meeting. Personal Management MB - From Mr. Edmonds - I hope this message finds you budgeting both time and your money. We will meet three times in November. The first meeting will be this Tuesday 6 November, the second will be 13 November and the third 27 November. We will discuss buying and shopping strategies, stocks bonds and investments this month. Review your notes from the last meeting and we will pick up the discussion from our last meeting. Normal meeting begins at 7:30 and ends at 9:00. Please bring any items for our December 8th garage sale. Items should be priced. We will store them under the church. Sign up for the TCU game at the meeting or online. Remember we need everyone to participate in our fundraising. It counts towards your 50% participate rating to continue to advance in rank. WEDNESDAY Troop Committee meeting 7:30 pm at the Scout Lodge. This is the business meeting of the Troop. It is open for anyone to attend. SATURDAY From Mr. Taylor - What a TCU game vs West Virginia! The next game is this Saturday against the #2 team in the country-Kansas State. Game time is 6 p.m. Report time is 2 p.m. There are only four people (2 adults and 2 scouts) signed up. We need a total of 25. Please sign-up now. Hawk and Eagle Patrols are in the lead with Pedro right behind. SUNDAY You can rest (after you work on advancement!). Mr. Turner
