Tonight on the National Geographic channel is the series premiere of "Are you tough enough to be a Scout?" at 7pm. See the website at www.toughscout.com. Watch it (or DVR it and go to the) t Also tonight, the OA Chapter Meeting is from 7 - 8 at Arborlawn UMC on Briarhaven Road. Our special guest will be the Fort Worth Fire Department Swift Water/Underwater SAR team. Non-OA members are welcome to attend (wear your uniform). The Search and Rescue team will cover a few requirements of the NEW Search and Rescue merit badge. Requirements: http://meritbadge.org/wiki/index.php/Search_%26_Rescue. If you/your Scouts are interested in finishing up this merit badge, contact Steve Baker at inexco@swbell.net He is the only listed registered counselor for this merit badge in the district. Be one of the first to earn it! Tuesday... Mrs. Smith is starting another Personal Fitness MB class next week, March 5th. Meeting at 6:45 for the dreaded 1 mile run and initial fitness test. Dress appropriately. Staff members should be at Scouts at 7:00 for a staff meeting. Wednesday... Troop committee meeting at 7:30. This is the business meeting of the Troop - parents are invited to attend. Saturday... Trinity Trails District Pinewood Derby 8am-1pm. An excellent opportunity to recruit and earn service hours. I need at least 5 Scouts across the entire event so find a friend and split up the day with them. If you are interested in building a car (several Scouts can build a car together) to race on behalf of the Troop, I need to know TODAY).
