6 days until The Big Adventure! If you do not have your updated medical form turned in, please call, beg, plead, and possibly pay your doctor to fill out a new form for your son (or you)! We need them Tuesday (well we really needed them last Tuesday, but we really really need them Tuesday). The medical director is doing us a favor and coming to our Scout meeting to review all of the forms so we do not have to wait in line on Sunday. For adults attending The Big Adventure (just overnighters, not day visitors), in addition to your health form, I need a copy of your IN PERSON YPT certificate. That class is good for two years so if you attended last year, you are still legit. For summer and high adventure camps, the online YPT course is not sufficient. It must be the IN PERSON class. Please bring a copy of your card to the meeting Tuesday so I can make a copy of it. Thanks to everyone that has fully paid for camp. If you have not, final payment is due Tuesday (Philmont payments are also fully due now). Parents, please let your son(s) know if you are coming out to parents night on Thursday at camp and if you will be eating in the dining hall (most Scouts will want you to bring food from the "real world" with you). I do not have an exact time yet, but plan on dinner time. I strongly encourage you to carpool to the camp. Parking is a premium. Plan on walking and bring a stadium cushion or towel to sit on at the campfire - ask anyone that has been - the rocks are HOT. For dinner, please also plan on bringing chairs - we only have two tables in our campsite.
