We are having a great time here at the Big Adventure! The weather has been great. Only a little liquid sunshine today with a nice cool front keeping temperatures down. Classes started today and I have seen a lot of the Scouts engaged with their instructors and other Scouts in the classes. We just finished a camp wide tug-of-war where Troop 17 took on all challengers at the camp and won until a Troop of rather large gentleman with Pacific Islander heritage joined the challenge. The Scouts decided to call it a night after that. Remember, Thursday is parents night. I will find out exactly when the campfire will be for our Troop. It looks like either 6:00 pm or 7:30 pm. I will also post a map of how to get to our campsite. Please be aware that we are on the far side of the parade ground compared to the parking area (we are actually below the campfire ring) so please wear comfortable shoes, bring something to drink (any spare Nalgenes at home?), and a towel to sit on. Parking will be a premium so carpool if you can. You will have to park in the main parking lot, near Todd, or someplace farther away. Thanks and keep the letters coming! Mr. Turner
