Yes...its true...August officially begins tomorrow! Its crunch time if you still have vacation plans...or plans to finish (or maybe START) one more Merit Badge before school starts! One of the things we like to do in August is take our annual end of summer trip to Burgers Lake. We will meet at 2pm on Tuesday, August 13th at the Scout Lodge and return around 8pm. For those already in school, football, or band practices, please fee to meet us at the park. Please let me or Mr. Rekieta know if you are going to meet there or leave early so we can tell them how many people we have coming (and so I can purchase food). The permission slip and poop sheet will be online tonight. Adults planning on attending should send me a note also - we will need at least one more adult to come out with the bus. The Staff met earlier this month and put the troop calendar together for the next 12 months. It has been posted online - http://www.troop17.net/calendar. We are still making all the arrangements so everything is marked as tentative at this point. Also coming up in August is Emerson Lyles Eagle project on Monday, August 5th at 9am. See any of the Lyles for more information. You and your families are all cordially invited to the Eagle Court of Honor for Curtis Martin. It will be at St. Stephens on August 11th.
