Hello to all Troop Seventeen Families, I want to give everyone an end of the year heads up and reminder about Friends of Scouting 2014. But first, THANK YOU again for your outstanding support this year, we contributed an impressive $4000.00, WOW! The Longhorn Council is offering an incentive for 2014 to all units meeting their pledge goals by offering FREE advancement badges, for T17 this could mean over $500! It is VERY important that all pledges and donations come through the troop so we get full credit. If you plan on making an end of the year contribution to FOS let me know, and I will turn it into the council for you. Any contributions received between now and December 31st will go towards our 2014 pledges. I will have more information in January and February about our 2014 FOS goals and different ways we can achieve them. Thanks again to everyone for your continuing support to our scouts, our troop and the greater scouting program. I look forward to making next year a huge success.
