Sorry my notes have dried up recently (although no one seemed to complain). Work has had me very busy on a number of projects. Listed below are some schedule reminders and updates. I am also going to send a separate note about upcoming summer programs that you should pay special attention to. Please review it with your family. Tuesday, March 11 - The Planets have finally aligned! The Astronomy Merit Badge Class will meet at 7 pm Tuesday March 11th at the Scout Lodge. Whether you are a new enrollee or seeking to complete the last few requirements, this is your chance to see heavenly bodies! To infinity, and beyond! (From Mr. Payne) Any Saturday in March - If you are free any Saturday during the month of March, Mr. Goldthwaite could definitely use your help with the Oscar Bilger Lodge Project. The next three Saturdays are crucial to the 2104 completion phase of the building. Please reach out to Mr. Goldthwaite if you are available to assist on any of the upcoming weekends. He can be reached at 817-929-3525. Tuesday, March 18th - Parents are invited to see the presentation on the upcoming high adventure trips. 8:15pm at St. Stephen (we will finish in time to take your Scouts home). Friday, March 21-Sunday, March 23 - Canoeing the Brazos! Saturday, March 29 - Trinity Trails Pinewood Derby - St. Stephen Church. Troop 17 is hosting the district pinewood derby. We should be done by lunchtime. Please plan on coming out to help with the racing and to talk to Cub Scouts about the greatness that is Troop 17 (especially if you were undefeated as a Pinewood Derby racer as a Cub - you know who you are). This is an excellent opportunity to recruit (and to earn service hours for Scouts or school)! Saturday, April 5 - Worth Ranch Work Day OA Events...
