Happy St. Patricks Day to you. Hopefully you are all back from Spring break and well rested. With the first day of spring on Thursday, the Troop is headed to the Worth Ranch Friday for a historic canoe trip down the Brazos River. The poop sheet and permission slips are online. Please bring your signed permission slip and $35 cash to Tuesdays meeting. PARENTS - Also on Tuesday, we will be having two events for the parents of Scouts... First, at 7:30 we made special arraignments for an instructor to come to St. Stephen for everyone to take the State of Texas, in person, Youth Protection Training course. The in-person course is REQUIRED if you would like to attend any event that runs for 72 hours or more. In other words, if you want to attend Summer Camp overnight or attend our high adventure trip this or next summer, you will need the in-person training. This training will take approximately an hour and is good for 2 years. Secondly, at about 8:15, we will have a presentation on the summer high adventure trip to the Northern Tier/Boundary Waters. We need commitments from Scouts this month to reserve our spots for this event. This is the same presentation from the Court of Honor. Please come with your questions. We will let out in time to take your Scouts home. Both meetings will be at St. Stephen in the Westminster room (the small meeting room we normally use). I am out of town this week but will be back on Friday in time for the trip. Mr. Bogle will be taking attendance so be sure to say hello to him when you get there. Mr. Goldthwaite will be approving menus for the trip. Have a great week! Mr. Turner
