The staff and I met last night and worked through a number of options for this weekend. Regretfully, we will not be able to shoot this weekend. We are still going to Sid Richardson and the staff has a number of activities planned for the weekend. They tossed around several ideas for the "theme" for this campout..."Wrestlemania 2014", "Cook and Hurl 14", "Murder on the Orient-eering Express", "The Great Scout Adventure", "Wiggle Wars", "Are you tougher than a Cub Scout?", and many others. The poop sheet has been posted with the title "The Multi-Adventure Campout (Mason-mania Campout!)". Please note that we will be hiking some (in preparation for Red River this summer) and there are some sports scheduled to so bring shoes suitable for both activities. To get into Sid, the Troop also volunteered to help with a Cub Scout event on Saturday so we could use 4 or 5 volunteers to help with that. I did ask the staff what Wiggle Wars were last night and found out that if you have an extra sleeping back to was older, and not expensive, it may come in handy. I am sorry we could not have the shooting sports as planned. We have several people that volunteered to take the training next time the BSA offers it, but regretfully the Council did not have another course lined up before we were going. Thanks, Mr. Turner
