Final days to The Big Adventure... Please remember to bring your permission slip to the Troop meeting tomorrow. It can be downloaded from the troop website at http://www.troop17.net/docs_public/current_info.pdf. THIS IS ALSO THE GEAR LIST AND OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION. Please review it with your parents/scouts. Tomorrow, I will be sending out the latest statement that will list your medical form date, merit badges registered for, finance information, and shirt orders. Please review it and make sure everything is right by tomorrow night. They will be picking up our medical forms at the beginning of the meeting! We really need everyone to attend tomorrows meeting as this is our last day to prepare for WR. For those attending camp... Please arrive at WR by noon on Sunday. Arriving very early (which some of you are rumored to want to do) will mean that you will be hauling your gear across the camp to our site (and really irritating the camp staff!). We will not know what site we get until Sunday morning. Everyone needs to bring at least one Nalgene - you will carry it EVERYWHERE you go. A carabineer to hook it to your belt is handy. No open toe shoes, ever. Parents, please wear sensible shoes to drop off your Scouts. No aerosol spray cans - that includes sun screen and bug spray. For those working on cooking MB, you will need to bring a small Coleman propane bottle(s) to run your stoves. Cooking will be limited to the kitchen that you will setup in our site. You may not use the Cajun cookers and we will probably be under a fire ban. Please bring notebook paper and a self-addressed, stamped envelope to send a letter home - everyone will write at least one. ***Special Items for Patrol Members to Bring: Turn these in to an adult when we get to our campsite: Flaming Arrow Patrol Members - Watermelons- for a special fruit experience. 2 each if you can. Unknown Patrol Members - Drink mixesKool Aid, Gatorade, etc. it makes the water taste better! Bring large packages we will use them for the troop water jugs. 2 packages if you can. Hawk Patrol Members Large Bag of Cookies (several bags ideally). We will snack on these in the evening. Staff - Apples, oranges, bananas, grapes or other fruit (lots of fruit). Eagle Patrol Members - Big, big bags of chips and dips. Panther Patrol Members Bags of ice. Please go back and reread the poop sheet! Thanks, Mr. Turner
