As far away as it sounds, it is already time for the Troop to submit requests for crews for Philmont in the Summer of 2016. Philmont is one of the premier high adventure events that a Scout can experience in his Scouting career. More information can be found at http://www.philmontscoutranch.org/About/Overview.aspx. To be eligible to attend, you must be 14 years old on January 1st, 2016 and be a First Class Scout before July 1, 2016. The Troop traditionally attends in July and the cost is roughly $900 before fundraising. What we need to know this week is the interest level to attempt to correctly plan for the number of crews that we will need to request. There is no guarantee that we will get what we ask for but we will be committed to filling the crews that we get.
