Here is the information for Parents Night Campfire BEGINS at 6:00 pm on Thursday night. Due to the number of people in camp, we are on a split schedule for the evening. We will be at the first campfire beginning at 6:00 pm. Flag lowering (quite an impressive site if you havent seen it before) will be at 7:00 pm including a somewhat lengthy OA call out. After that, we will be eating dinner. The evening wraps up around 8:30 as we head up to Kyle Mountain with the Troop. Things you need to know It will be HOT. You will be WALKING. Drink and bring WATER. Bring something to sit on (towel, stadium pad) at the campfire see the first item. Carpools are encouraged. Parking will be CHALLENGING. The walk to the campfire from parking is about 15 minutes. There will be traffic. Please do not feel like you have to be at the campfire. The boys want to see you, only a few will actually be participating in the campfire. You are welcome to come early but many of the boys have class until 5:00pm. Just a reminder that we will NEED YOUR HELP. We do not want any boys going home with you on Thursday. Our failure rate for kids that leave early is almost 100% - in other words, if they get to leave early, we rarely are successful at re-engaging them in Scouting. You can make the difference. Be strong. Be firm. They will be coming home just another 36 hours later. Thanks for your support, Mr. Turner
