Our 2016 trip to Philmont High Adventure base is less than 10 months away! That sounds like a long time, but in reality it will go by quicklyvery quickly. The Philmont Committee would like to put together crews this month but to do this, they need a firm commitment from those planning on attending. How do you make this firm commitment you ask? By bringing a check for $250 to the Troop. By paying the deposit, you are making a personal and financial commitment to the Troop that you will attend the trip. The total cost of the trip has not been set yet but it is normally around $975. We will be in Philmont on July 15, 2016 through July 27, 2016 and will have some travel days on either side of that. This is the final call for participants. We have to send a check to Philmont to finalize our reservations this month. Once reserved, the Troop is committed to paying the full price for each participant to the BSA. Anyone unable or unwilling to attend after making a deposit will be required to find a replacement participant that meets the Troops participation qualifications and the Philmont Committees approval. The replacement participant would repay the original participant. There are no deposit refunds and the full cost is committed to once the crews are set.
