What a great day we had at the TCU game! We had a lot of first time staff (Scouts and adults)...and a lot of first time customers! Even though fans left in droves each time TCU scored after half time, we still sold over $10,000 in product. This weekend is SMU and a full stadium. It is an evening game so report time will be 3:00 pm. Game time is 7:00 pm which is also the same time as the Paschal HS football game. This means all our PHS football players and band members are not available for the TCU game. As of this afternoon, we only have 4 Scouts signed up to work plus 5 adults (some from Post 52). If you can help this weekend instead of another day when the PHS members may be available, please consider volunteering this weekend. More information online at www.troop17.net/tcu. Speaking of online, we have been working on updating the Troop website for the past couple of weeks. If you find anything missing or not working, please let me know. In case you have not been to Scouts in the last few meetings, you missed the annoucement that the campout this month has been moved to WR. We will reschedule the Schlitterbahn trip for the spring. The schedule simply would not work with TCU games, PHS Homecoming, and the end of the season at the park. The Staff have a fun event planned at WR instead. And finally, speaking of Staff...we announced a number of changes last week during the Scout meeting. In keeping with our long standing practice of "you must be present to win", some names were not announced. We have punished those folks long enough. Here is the list of promotions and moves... James is now Quartermaster. Michael s now on Staff. Colin is now on Staff. Kevin is now on Staff. Jackson is now Eagle PL. Charlie is now Eagle APL. Mason is now Eagle Gearmaster. Ben is now FA APL. Mac is now FA Gearmaster. Sam T. is now Hawk PL. Dan C. is now Hawk APL. Sam L. is now Hawl Gearmaster. Elliot is now ? PL. Sam V. is now Panther PL. Max is now Panther APL. Ryan is now Panther Gearmaster. Dylan is now in Panther. Bill and Mario are now in Eagle. Mr. Edmonds will be at Scouts at 6:30 for the Personal Merit Badge class.
