T17 - CAMPOUT UPDATE posted 04/14/16

After much wrangling, we will be camping at Worth Ranch this weekend. We have the Todd campsite so we will have the building for Sunday breakfast if necessary (if its raining). One of the activities for this weekend will be the Council Canoe Race! This is not our normal canoe campout, just a race. We will be participating in the 6 mile race which should take less than 2 hours. We will not be staying on the river so no need for blue barrels and canoeing food. IF you want to canoe, you will need to bring a bathing suit, towel and water shoes (no open toes) in addition to the normal campout gear. I will post an updated poop sheet shortly. The cost of this campout will be $30. If you have not paid that amount already, we can collect it Friday night or at the next Troop meeting. As a treat, and only if we leave on time Sunday, we will stop at Woodys in Mineral Wells for lunch. Scouts should bring money for lunch ($5-$10) to pay for their own food. Please be sure that you bring a permission slip on Friday. We already loaded part of the trailer on Tuesday so this should be a quick run out to WR. Sorry for the confusion and late change in plans.
