With September less than 30 days away, we need to start thinking about our primary fundraiser for the Troop, the TCU concession stand! There are 9 games this year with 3 of them in September. The events are online already (http://www.troop17.net/mangaement/menunew.asp?page=eventregister) and you can sign up now. We only know the times for the first 3 games but please take a look and see what you can put on your calendars now. We could use two or three additional people to volunteer to be the "managers". Mr. Taylor is getting old and his son has been gone for two years now so we really need to replace him. Being the manager is not hard. If you can count, use a calculator, and use a pencil (sometimes all at the same time), you are qualified. Running the front of the stand is the responsibility of the Scouts. The manager really just helps ensure that we have the inventory we need and to point out dirt that teenagers cannot see because of their age. These events are fun and the easiest way we have found to raise $7,000-$8,000 a year. Please consider signing up now for a game and consider my request to join the manager crew. Thanks, Dan Turner
