T17 - Heck of a season! posted 12/27/16

A HUGE thank you to everyone that worked the Armed Forces Bowl. With only *11* people, we sold over $10,000 worth of merchandise in three quarters of football (we closed early in the 4th). We definitely do not want to run a game like that again. We had lines to the railing from the middle of the 1st quarter to the beginning of the 4th. Our preliminary numbers also showed that we balanced within $8 for the day. Thank you to the folks that stayed later than they had originally planned to help cover us. We do not have the final numbers yet, but we raised almost $9,000 for the Troop this season!!! At the Scout meeting tonight, we will reveal the winning patrol and top earning Scout. As a preview, there was only one person that worked every game this season...and it was not a Scout...it was the anchor man on the hot dog grill - Mr. Towle. A huge thanks to Mr. Towle for keeping the back of the house in shape all season. The race for top patrol was close - only 6 hours made the difference between #1 and #2. The race for top Scout was also close with 4 hours separating the top 3 contenders. See you tonight with all the results!! Mr. Turner
