Just a reminder of a couple of upcoming events, besides the meeting tonight! Saturday, Sept. 16, TCU game http://www.troop17.net/tcu Wednesday, October 4, Troop Committee Meeting Saturday, October 7, TCU game http://www.troop17.net/tcu October 13-15, Fishing Campout October 21-22, Jamboree on the Air/Jamboree on the Internet (more info on this event coming separately) Saturday, October 21, TCU game http://www.troop17.net/tcu October 27-29, OA Ordeal Weekend at Worth Ranch (for OA members). Last Ordeal opportunity for any elected members. November 4, TCU game UT vs TCU http://www.troop17.net/tcu We are working to update the full calendar at this time and should have all the dates posted shortly. Please keep in mind that TCU game times are not set until the team and TV schedules are set. There are several big games coming up and this is our only fundraiser. Weekend trips are also funded through our TCU fundraising efforts. For example, for last weekends trip to Schlitterbahn, the Troop covered over $250 in costs not funded by the $60 per person collected from each camper. We do this to help keep the weekend camping costs down. Unfortunately, we already know that the BSA will be raising membership fees for 2018. A good fundraising effort this fall may help us keep our out of pocket costs to the families flat. See you tonight! Mr. Turner
