T17 - Order of the Arrow Ordeal posted 10/16/17

On October 27-29 there is an OA Ordeal at Worth Ranch. Registration and details are at https://www.netopalis209.org/events/. Cost is $53. Scouts can register online or show up at WR ($10 late fee will be added). Scouts should plan to arrive around 7pm and should eat a large meal (can bring with them and eat when they arrive). We have 6 Scouts eligible (called out but not inducted). All of our Scouts who were inducted into OA before this year are eligible for Brotherhood. You can use the same registration link as above and the total cost is $17. If you will be 16-20 next year, you can take advantage of the OA high adventure program. It is expected that there will be scholarships available next year and it will help interested Scouts if they are Brotherhood (there was at least one Scout that received a scholarship that covered the full participation cost for Philmont), Ordeal members can sign up as Elangomats and the weekend will be free, even if you get Brotherhood (you also get a cool/rare/valuable patch). Anyone attending the Ordeal should bring the Part A of the BSA medical form (theyll have blank ones to fill out but it will be much smoother to bring a completed copy). Scouts going to complete their Ordeal need to bring their carved-arrow-on-a-string. Please contact Mr. Turner or Mr. Peterson for more information.
