This is it! The one weekend a year that you can complete this requirement! Wait...what requirement?!? This is the one weekend a year that you can participate in the Jamboree on the Internet/Jamboree on the Air. This is a requirement for the International Spirit Award. The Longhorn Council only handed out a handful of these awards last year and anyone that went on the Scotland trip and participates this weeekend can easily earn the award this year. This is the only weekend that you can fulfill the requirement. Go to https://webchat.scoutlink.net, set a nickname, and you are off and running. Maybe you want to join channel 17 (for no particular reason) - from the chat box, type /join #english17 One other piece of information that everyone will want is our JID (jamboree ID). This identifies the Scouting unit and is a way to track where you made connections. For the award, please keep a quick list of the date, name, jid, and subject of the chat. Our JID is 6US99U. This is not about how many JIDs you collect, its about making the connections to Scouts and Scouters all around the world.
