Welcome to February! Thanks to everyone that was at the meeting Tuesday night - Scouts and adults - we had a great crowd. As we briefly covered in the announcements, we have quite a few events in February. All of them are available on our calendar (http://www.troop17.net/calendar). Here are the highlights... Wednesday, Feb. 7, 7:30p Troop Committee meeting. This is the monthly business meeting of the Troop and is open to everyone.Sunday, Feb 11, 10:30a Scout Sunday at St. Stephen. Please join us in attending the worship service at our host church, St. Stephen. This is our way to thank them and to be recognized by them during the service. February is traditionally celebrated as the birthday month for Scouting so be sure to check with your religious organization to see if they have any celebrations for Scouting this month. Friday, Feb. 16-Sunday, Feb. 18, Wilderness Survival at Sid Richardson. Some may call this the "Sid Survival Camp Out" but we will work on the Wilderness Survival merit badge and also expect a den of Webelos Scouts to join us. Saturday, Feb 24, 4p Troop Fundraiser Catering Event - Pack 350 will be holding their annual blue and gold banquet. We are catering and will need cooked lasagnas and Scouts to attend. Sign up online (http://www.troop17.net/management/registerV2.asp?e=1800). Two schedule changes have been posted online. Due to Spring Break and availability at Wichita Mountains, we have moved up the Bouldering Campout to March 2-4. Our Spring Troop Court of Honor has been moved out to March 6th. Please mark that on your calendars as we would like as many families as possible to attend. We are going to have a covered dish dinner - more on that soon. As you can see, February will be a busy month! March will be lighter with schools out for Spring Break. Scouts be sure you are thinking about your participation rating for both meetings and campouts. Dont let February slip by and miss several events. We have two Eagle projects coming up in so be sure to watch for those so you can get your service hours in! Thank you, Mr. Turner
